Joe Girardi Doesn’t Get It.
Joe Girardi is an idiot. Ok. Not an idiot about everything, maybe. But when it comes to resting players he manages like a man who doesn’t get hitting. Doesn’t get the idea that hitters tend to streak. The big picture is to make sure the team is healthy for a full season and play-offs, but why the #@$% would you rest A-Rod the night after hitting 3 home runs?
To keep him healthy for the full season says Joe. Ride the hot bat Joe! Ride a hot bat!
Maybe Joe doesn’t get it because he was mostly a defensive catcher that was not known for his hitting. Plus playing a position where rest is needed from the grind of the backstop. But whatever, too often he sits a guy after a hot day. Why not rest A-Rod in Texas? The next day. Any other day except after when a guy swings a crazy hot bat. Get a clue Joe.
