The Spring Breakout games have arrived.

For those unaware, the Spring Breakout is when MLB host a series of games from each teams with rosters consisting of that organization’s top prospects.

This year, the Rays will have two of Baseball America’s top 100 prospects on their roster,

Starting in 2027, the Spring Breakout will be turned into a single-elimination tourament with champions being crowned in both the Grapefruit and Cactus Leagues. However, 2026 will just be a exhibition game.

This year, the Rays prospects will take on a team of prospects from the New York Mets system at Clover Park in St. Lucie with first pitch scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET which can be seen on MLB.tv, Amazon, MLB.com, and MLB Network.

Among the Rays prospects making up the roster are outfielder Theo Gillen, who was the Rays first round selection in 2024 and most recently ranked as the 64th best prospect in the game by Baseball America (2nd in the Rays system). Recently acquired Jacob Melton will also be there as well as 2025 first round pick Daniel Pierce.

Sluggling first baseman Xavier Isaac put on a show during the first Spring Breakout games in 2024 and will be making another appearances for the Rays tonight. The former first rounded had a lost 2025 campaign after undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumor last July, however, he appears fully healthy now and has been crushing the ball in Spring Training.

Carson Williams was slated to participate, he homered during last year’s games, but an injury to Taylor Walls may have opened a spot on the Rays active roster. So, Williams has rejoined the Rays big league camp and may just be the team’s Opening Day starting shortstop.

Some notable pitchers taking the mound will be Anderson Brito and Michael Forret, both of whom were acquired by the Rays in separate trades made just hours apart from each other.

How many perfect brackets remain? March Madness upsets have struck early

March Madness has already lived up to the hype, not one full day into the 2026 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Indeed, the vast majority of fans who created their brackets, hoping against hope to beat the impossibly long odds of creating a perfect bracket, have already seen their hopes dashed.

The most likely culprit? No. 12 seed High Point, led by Chase Johnston, upending Greg Gard and No. 5 seed Wisconsin. No. 9 TCU technically scored an upset over No. 8 Ohio State, to say nothing of the near-disaster of No. 1 overall Duke eking out a 71-65 win over No. 16 seed Siena.

And yet, perfection yet remains — for now, at least.

Here’s a look at how many perfect brackets remain in March Madness, with plenty more opportunities for upsets on the horizon:

How many people still have perfect bracket in March Madness?

Last updated 7 p.m. ET on March 19

  • ESPN: 576,882 perfect brackets remain (beginning with 26,029,409)
  • NCAA: 725,000+ perfect brackets remain

As of 7 p.m. ET on March 19, less than a million perfect brackets remain in either the ESPN or NCAA bracket challenges. Though the NCAA does not provide the full number of brackets submitted, ESPN does, providing some insight into just how maddening the NCAA Tournament has been.

Only 576,882 perfect remains out of 26,029,409 brackets submitted — a measly 2.2% of all brackets.

Nets’ Michael Porter Jr. out with left hamstring strain, will be reevaluated in 2-3 weeks

Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. will be out for two to three weeks after being diagnosed with a left hamstring strain, the team announced on Thursday. He will be reevaluated after that period.

By then, however, the Nets’ season could be over. Only 13 games remain on the regular-season schedule for Brooklyn and the team has been playing for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. The Nets currently hold the third-worst record in the NBA at 17-52.

Traded to the Nets from the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Cam Johnson, Porter was putting up the best numbers of his career. The seven-year veteran averaged 24.2 points (tied for 14th among NBA scorers), 7.1 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.1 steals, while shooting 36% on 485 3-point attempts this season.

However, Porter appeared in only 52 games due to ankle injuries and a chronic nerve condition (called “foot drop”) in his left foot. He had missed the Nets’ past four games with his left hamstring issue.

If Porter is able to return in two weeks, that would leave five or six games in the Nets’ season. However, both the Nets and Porter might question if there’s any point in him playing those games — especially if the team is playing for the No. 1 overall pick. Right now, the Nets share the best chance to win that selection with the Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards at 14%.

Porter, 27, also has one year remaining on his contract and both he and the Nets may want to show that he’s healthy for a possible offseason trade. He’s set to be paid $40.8 million next season, a salary slot that non-contending teams would love to open on their caps. Of course, that could apply to the Nets as well.

Apple Is Finally Letting You Use Your Own Payment Method in Family Sharing

Apple is making a big change to Family Sharing with iOS 26.4: Once the update hits, you’ll be able to use your own payment method in Family Sharing groups that have Purchase Sharing turned on. This might sound small, but it’s a significant change to how Apple handles payments in these situations.

Payment Sharing no longer exclusively goes through the family organizer

Payment Sharing can be a convenient way for Family Sharing groups to take advantage of shared plans and content. That could include subscriptions, like Apple One, Apple Music, Apple TV, or Apple News+; purchased music from iTunes; movies and TV shows from the Apple TV app; books from Apple Books; or apps bought on the App Store. It means anyone within the family can access these items, but it also traditionally came with a limitation: With Purchase Sharing turned on, you couldn’t buy your own shared things. All purchases went through the payment method set up by the organizer of the family group, unless you happened to have an account balance from a gift card or allowance.

This makes a lot of sense when the family members are children, but not as much when those family members are adults. Not all Family Sharing groups are necessarily “families,” either: Friends can pool their accounts together to take advantage of shared services like iCloud plans. When all shared purchases go through one person’s credit card, it’s a bit of a pain.

That’s what iOS 26.4 is changing. Once you update, you can choose to put new shared purchases on your own card—assuming you are an adult. (Minors still need to go through the family organizer’s payment method.) If you want to sign the group up for Apple Fitness+, you can pay for it; if you want to buy a movie on the Apple TV app that others can watch too, that can come from your card. It’s a long overdue update to the system that will make Family Sharing groups a bit easier to use for adults.

What else is new with iOS 26.4

Apple has a number of new features and changes coming with iOS 26.4. In addition to this Family Sharing update, Apple Music gets a visual overhaul, plus you can now generate playlists with AI. There are eight new emojis rolling out here, following the Unicode 17 standard, plus Apple finally fixed iOS 26’s buggy keyboard.

While iOS 26.4 is still technically in beta testing, Apple rolled out the Release Candidate this week. Barring any major bugs, this is the version of iOS 26.4 that will launch to the public, and we’ll likely see it sometime next week.
