I’m a Certified Personal Trainer, and These Are My Favorite Cyber Monday Deals on Fitness Equipment

We may earn a commission from links on this page. Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.

These fitness discounts are among a million products on sale for Cyber Monday this year. If you’re interested in the best tech on sale today, see our best Cyber Monday tech deals page for a broader view of all the best discounts you can get right now. Prices are accurate as of the time of writing, but you can expect them to fluctuate and inventory to sell out, so you may not want to hesitate if you see a sale that grabs you.

Cyber Monday is here, and these are my favorite bargains on fitness equipment, including deep discounts on spin bikes, adjustable dumbbells, and more. It’s also worth checking out deals on fitness trackers and specifically the deals on Garmin watches and Fitbits if you’re looking for something to track your workouts.

Hydrow rowers are on sale

Hydrow makes rowing machines with a Peloton-like screen that delivers classes on a subscription basis. Their top two models are on sale this Cyber Monday season: the Hydrow Pro is $1,745 (21% off the usual price of $2,195) and the Hydrow Wave is $1,440 (15% off the usual price of $1,695).

Powerblock and Bowflex adjustable dumbbells are on sale

Several of my picks for the best adjustable dumbbells are on sale today. The Powerblock Elite EXP Stage 1, which goes from 5 to 50 pounds, is on sale for $299/pair at Amazon, normally $449—or $199 for a single, at Walmart. Its Stage 2 and Stage 3 expansion kits are also on sale, both $142.90, down from $169. Each kit adds 20 pounds, so with both you can have a pair of 90 pound dumbbells.

The Powerblock Pro 100 (yes, a 100-pound adjustable dumbbell) is $439.90 for a single (down from $549). You’ll save over $200 if you’re buying two.

The Bowflex SelectTech 552 are on sale for $379/pair, from a list price of $549. They sometimes go for a bit less than list price, but the sale price here is lower than I’ve seen it all year.

Peloton and NordicTrack spin bikes are on sale

Peloton has gotten into the habit of offering sweet deals on its bikes on all the major shopping holidays, so of course there’s a nice Cyber Monday sale going. The basic model Bike is $1,295 (down from $1,445) and the fancier Bike+ is $1,995 (normally $2,495). Of the two, the Bike+ is the better sale compared to historical price data, but ultimately you should choose based on which fits your needs better. I have a guide here to help you decide between the Bike and the Bike+.

Peloton isn’t the only game in town when it comes to higher-end spin bikes, though. NordicTrack’s Commercial Studio Cycle is $1,274.98 (down from $1,499.99) for the S22i model. It has the same size screen as the Peloton Bike, a swiveling mount for the screen like the Bike+, and automatic resistance like the Bike+. (Like Peloton’s offerings, it also requires a monthly subscription to access its digital features—but in this case, you’ll pay $39/month rather than $44.)

Theragun and Hyperice massage guns are on sale

A massage gun is a great tool for whenever you feel like you’d enjoy being punched repeatedly, but therapeutically. (As I discovered when I tried one out, I do not enjoy this—but many people do.) Some of the big brands have models on sale right now. The Hypervolt Go is $99 right now (normally $129) and it’s available in both white and black. And the triangular Theragun Mini, normally $199, is now $149 or $159 depending on your color preference. Desert rose and black are the more inexpensive ones at the moment.

Speedo and my favorite Adidas gym bags are on sale

Speedo’s Teamster backpack, normally $90, is on sale for Cyber Monday—but the price depends on the color you choose. Here’s a tasteful forest green for $68, or a lively “Cheetah orange pop” for $38.28. This bag is beloved by swimmers for its wet-and-dry separation, sturdy construction, and pockets for everything.

There’s also a nice sale going on the Adidas Defender duffel bag, hands down my favorite gym bag. I have it in Small ($26.99, normally $40) or you can get the Medium ($26, normally $45). Those prices are for the classic black version with white logo, but there’s a whole rainbow available. The Large is $38.50 in red right now, normally $55). Prices vary by color.

Magnetic mini gym bags are on sale

I love the look of the Magnetic Bag Company’s mini gym bags. They can stick onto squat racks or other equipment, but they’re pricey. Fortunately several models are on sale this Cyber Monday, including this one on Amazon for $51.99 (normally $64.99). Or head over to the company’s website for more deals, including a magnetic bottle bag for $87.49, normally $124.99.

Treadmills are on sale

NordicTrack’s T series treadmills are on sale, with the T Series 10 going for $999.99, down from $1,299.99. There’s even a deal on the 10 with a year’s membership for subscription content for $1,395 (down from $1,695).

Or if you prefer the Peloton ecosystem, the Peloton Tread is $2,695 right now, down from $2,995. Looking for a budget model instead? Try this Sunny treadmill for $394.99, down from $789.98. It’s been on sale in recent months, but usually in the $600-$700 range—not for anywhere near this good a price.

Barbells, dumbbells, and other useful heavy things are on sale

Rogue Fitness is running a “Matte Black November” sale with discounts on a variety of items, some for limited times or with limited stock. One great deal that caught my eye (and which should be available through Cyber Monday) is the 15 kg Bella bar for $205 (normally $235). This is a 15 kilogram Olympic barbell, great for anyone who does Crossfit or olympic weightlifting, especially if you compete in the women’s or youth divisions. (And if you’re not clear on why there’s a separate bar for women in these sports, I have a whole explainer here.)

There are also bumper plates on sale from various retailers, and I’d like to highlight these basic 45-pound bumpers from GIKPAL. Bumpers are great for Olympic lifts, but also for deadlifts or anything else where you’d like to protect your floor and your ears a bit. These are now $139.99 for a pair, normally $179. Even better, here’s a single 45-pound bumper for $46.99, nearly $1/lb (that’s an excellent price for bumpers.)

Deals on fitness watches

I have a whole post on fitness trackers and smartwatch deals here, but to call out a few examples:

Samsung’s ‘The Frame’ TV Has Its Lowest Price Ever for Cyber Monday

We may earn a commission from links on this page. Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.

The Frame TV is one of a million products on sale for Cyber Monday this year.

Cyber Monday is your chance at redemption if you missed Black Friday deals, with sales from Best Buy, Home Depot, and other retailers all offering record-low prices on many tech products. For those shopping around for a new TV, Samsung’s new 55-inch The Frame from 2024 has a great deal: It’s on sale for $897.99 (originally $1,497.99) after a 40% discount, the lowest price it has been according to price tracking tools and still matching the Black Friday discount. The 75-inch The Frame is also 40% off, currently $1,797.99 (originally $2,997.99).

Samsung’s The Frame smart TVs have come a long way since their 2017 release. Launched to appeal to the crowd that wants a big TV but doesn’t want that TV to dominate their decor, one of the newer features, released last year, introduced an anti-reflection matte display that took the “framed artwork” aspect to new levels—and with 4K picture quality. As the name implies, the allure of this TV is that it can double as a digital art frame, with its anti-glare matte display and customizable frame.

I first saw the 2022 version up close when it was released, admittedly having been fooled by my brother into thinking it was an actual painting (it really does look like one). The matte screen does a good job of making the TV seem like a painting, and it’s great for bright rooms that might otherwise get a lot of glare from the screen. This version had an “average” review from PCMag due mainly to poor contrast and its price. However, the new 2024 version is the latest generation of this series and has notable improvements.

You’ll get an improved refresh rate of 120Hz, the same QLED display, and 4K resolution with a Quantum 4K processor. You can buy frames separately to your taste, and even design them with a Harry Potter theme, like this guy did on TikTok.

My Favorite Gym Bag Is on Sale for Cyber Monday

We may earn a commission from links on this page. Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.

My favorite duffel bag is on a Cyber Monday sale, and if you didn’t snag one last time it was discounted, take another look, because this is one of the best (and most affordable!) gym bags out there. I’m talking about the Adidas Defender. It comes in different sizes; I own the Small, which is on sale for just $26.99 in black today. Prices vary by color, but you can also get the Medium for $26.50 in black, or the Large for $38.50 in red, to name a few.

I’m not kidding when I say it’s my favorite gym bag. I bought mine five years ago, almost to the day. I’ve used it almost daily since then, and it still looks brand new. (Minus the purple ink that I spilled in one of the inside pockets, but I was able to get almost all of it out.)

This is my regular duty gym bag, and here’s what I normally carry in it:

  • A pair of Nike Romaleo 3 weightlifting shoes in the side pocket with the mesh panel

  • A wealth of snacks and electrolytes in the other side pocket, including a sack of fun-size sour patch to share with my friends.

  • Small items like my inhaler, lip balm, and a phone charging cable in the little front zipper pocket

  • A leather belt (Pioneer Cut 3” suede single-prong), which I keep in the main compartment, curled around all the rest of my stuff

  • Also in the main compartment, inside the belt: two pairs of knee sleeves, two pairs of knee wraps, a resistance band for my shoulder warmup routine, a water bottle, a training journal, and probably a dozen other things I’ve forgotten about, but they are in there when I need them, if I can find them, probably. (UPDATE: I found a long-lost phone battery in the bottom of my bag today. Water bottle is missing, though. Watch this space for more as this story develops.)

And this is the small bag! There’s even enough room to add a lunchbox and/or a packing cube with a change of clothes for when I go to competitions. The only place it feels cramped is in the shoe compartment: If I had bigger feet, I’d probably appreciate the Medium bag.

The Medium is also a handy size for non-gym purposes. Our managing editor, Meghan Walbert, snagged two Mediums for her teenager sons the last time these duffels were on sale. When I asked her today how they’re holding up, she sent a picture of them packed for a holiday road trip, with the note, “They’re great!”

I’ll add that if you want to use these duffels as a travel bag, you may want to pick up some packing cubes to use with them. May I suggest a two-pack of the U+U clean/dirty packing cubes that are also on sale today? Each one has a zipper on the back to put your dirty laundry in for the trip home (so the two-pack will give two people each room for their clean and dirty clothes—or one person can have a cube for their gym bag and a cube for their suitcase, which is how I use them.)

Here are those links again:

These prices are for the classic black version with white logo, but there’s a whole rainbow of colors available. (Though prices vary by color.)

The Oura Ring Is at Its Lowest Price Yet for Cyber Monday

We may earn a commission from links on this page. Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.

The Oura ring is a great fitness tracker for minimalists. It picks up on your sleep, HRV, skin temperature and more while you sleep, and its app tells you how recovered and ready you are each day. Today, the gen 3 ring is at its lowest price yet, as little as $221 for some styles.

To understand what you’re getting, I’ll break down Oura’s product offerings:

  • The gen 3 ring, released in 2021, comes in a Horizon style (smooth) and a Heritage style (with a flat area on top of the ring). It’s available in whole sizes 6 to 13.

  • The gen 4 ring, released in 2024, comes in one shape, a smooth one. It’s available in more sizes: whole sizes 4 to 15.

The newer ring’s inner surface doesn’t have the sensor bumps that the gen 3 has, and the company says its sensors are slightly more accurate. But to be honest, both rings have similar functionality. As a gen 3 owner myself, I have zero jealousy of people who own a gen 4.

Oura has been running a sale on the gen 3 for a little while now, but today the price of some models has dropped even further. Here’s what I’m seeing in the Horizon style on Amazon

  • Silver: $235 for sizes 9 and 11, $249 for the rest (normally $299)

  • Black: all $249 (normally $299)

  • Brushed titanium: $261 for size 10, $279 for the others (normally $349)

  • Gold: $335 for sizes 8, 9, and 10; $349 for the rest (normally $449)

  • Rose gold: $321 for size 9, $335 for size 10, $349 for the rest (normally $449)

  • Stealth (matte black): $267 for size 13, $270 for size 11, $279 for the rest (normally $349)

And in Heritage with the flat top

  • Silver: $221 for size 10, $230 for size 13, $249 for the rest (normally $299)

  • Black: $221 for size 9, $230 for size 11, $249 for the rest (normally $299)

  • Brushed titanium: not in stock

  • Gold: $349 for all (normally $449)

  • Rose gold: not in stock

  • Stealth (matte black): $279 for all (normally $349)

These prices are all subject to change, of course, and some styles aren’t available in all sizes. These are the older models, after all, and Oura seems eager to clear out old stock. The gen 4 Oura ring is not on sale for Cyber Monday (and wasn’t for Black Friday, either). It runs $50 more than the regular price of the gen 3 rings for each color, so $349 for black and silver, $499 for gold and rose gold, and so on.

By the way, if you want something to track your workouts and not just your sleep, Oura may not be the ring for you. You probably want either a Garmin or a Whoop band to give you the best sleep data and track your workouts; I recently refereed a showdown between the Oura ring and the Whoop band. The Whoop band won, partly on activity tracking and partly on price. (Oura and Whoop both have subscription fees; check that link for a breakdown of the numbers.) And if I’m starting to convince you, I’ll add that Whoop is also running a Cyber Monday deal.

All that said, the Oura ring is an excellent sleep tracker to pair with a fitness watch, or to keep tabs on your health without worrying about activity tracking at all. If the $5.99/month subscription fee doesn’t bother you, go ahead and grab the ring.

The M2 MacBook Air Has Its Lowest Price Ever for Black Friday

We may earn a commission from links on this page. Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.

The M2 MacBook Air is one of a million products on sale for Black Friday this year. If you’re interested in the best tech on sale today, see our best Black Friday tech deals page for a broader view of all the best discounts you can get right now. Prices are accurate as of the time of writing, but you can expect them to fluctuate and inventory to sell out, so you may not want to hesitate if you see a sale that grabs you.

Apple makes some of the best laptops for the general public, and the MacBook Air series has consistently been one of its most popular. The 16 GB RAM version of the M2 MacBook Air is on sale or $749 for Black Friday (originally $999) on Amazon, the lowest price it has been according to price-tracking tools. It’s available in space gray, midnight, silver, and starlight colors.

This 16GB RAM version had dropped to $799 earlier this month and was an incredible value back then. Now with its current Black Friday deal, it drops another $50, making it the same price as the 8GB RAM version (before its $50 on-page coupon). Even with that $50 discount, having twice the RAM is a better deal and will make your laptop last much longer. Just earlier this year in April, the cost to double your RAM to 16GB was $200. As Tech Editor Jake Peterson explains, this could be the last laptop you ever buy.

The M2 MacBook Air came out in 2022, and judging from how Apple still backs up the M1, you can expect many years of support for the M2. The M2 comes with a 13.6-inch screen with 2560 by 1664 resolution screen and a battery life of about 17 hours, according to CNET’s review.

If you already have an M1, here are the difference between the M1 and M2 to help you decide if the upgrade is worth it for you. If you’re comparing the M2 and the M3, you can see our full breakdown comparing the two.

I’m a Tech Editor, and These Are My Favorite Black Friday Deals for Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC Gamers

We may earn a commission from links on this page. Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.

Consoles, games, and accessories are among the millions of products on sale for Black Friday this year.

Black Friday is a great time to shop for video games, whether as gifts or for yourself. Right now, there are sales on all sorts of games, consoles, and gaming-related accessories, whether you prefer to play on Xbox, Switch, PlayStation, PC, or even a smartphone. And if you’re interested in a new tablet or phone as well, head on over to our best Black Friday tech deals page for a broader view of all the best discounts you can get right now.

The best Black Friday console sales

Here are the best Black Friday deals on PS5, Switch, and Xbox consoles and bundles:

  • PS5 Slim Digital Edition Fortnite Bundle: $375 at Amazon (was $450). This digital edition of Sony’s PlayStation 5 console has a slimmer build than launch models and eschews a disc drive, but comes with a DualSense controller, 1,000 V-Bucks, and a few Fortnite cosmetics.

  • PS5 Slim Disc Edition Fortnite Bundle: $425 at Amazon (was $500). This slim version of Sony’s PlayStation 5 console has a disc drive for playing physical games and comes with a DualSense controller, 1,000 V-Bucks, and a handful of Fortnite cosmetics.

  • Nintendo Switch OLED with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: $275 at Target (was $350). If you don’t yet have a Nintendo Switch, this is the deal to get, giving you the console’s upgraded version, plus one of its most popular games, for less than $300.

  • Nintendo Switch with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: $225 at Best Buy (was $300). This Nintendo Switch is a little less pretty to look at than the OLED model, but that won’t matter if you mostly play on your TV. It runs games just as well and comes with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

  • Microsoft Xbox Series S 512GB: $250 at Target (was $300). This entry-level Xbox allows players access to the Xbox library and ecosystem, albeit with a few performance compromises. Comes with an Xbox Core Wireless Gaming Controller.

  • Microsoft Xbox Series X 1TB: $400 at Best Buy (was $450). Microsoft’s top-of-the-line Xbox, the Xbox Series X can play the console’s entire library at maximum fidelity. Comes with an Xbox Core Wireless Gaming Controller.

  • Meta Quest 3S: $300 at Amazon with free $75 gift card. While Meta’s freshly released budget revamp of the Meta Quest 3 isn’t exactly on sale at the moment, you can snag it in a bundle with Batman: Arkham Shadow and a $75 Amazon gift card (with code QUEST75 at checkout) if you act fast.

  • PlayStation VR2: $350 at Amazon (was $550). This massive deal is so large that Amazon’s website can’t actually display it properly. Right now, you can get Sony’s second VR headset for $250 off its launch price, which will grant PS5 owners access to Sony’s PSVR 2 library (though oddly enough, not PSVR 1 titles) and PC owners a new way to play their SteamVR games. This isn’t exactly a console in the traditional sense, as it’s not standalone— you’ll need either a PS5 or a PC to use it.

  • Amazon Fire TV 4K Max with Xbox Core Wireless Controller and 1 Month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: $80 at Amazon (was $142). This bundle will snag you Amazon’s best streaming stick plus an Xbox controller and 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, turning it into a full-on cloud gaming device. It’s not exactly a console in the traditional sense, but it’ll get the job done, and is much more affordable (at least until the subscription fees start adding up)

The best Black Friday game controller sales

Even if you’ve already got a console, you always need more controllers:

  • PlayStation DualSense Wireless Controller: $54 at Amazon (was $75). PS5 controllers can be a bit more finicky to connect to other devices than Xbox controllers, but have improved greatly in this regard over the years, and come with plenty of extra haptics that might justify their higher price tag to some gamers.

  • Nintendo Switch Pro Controller: $50 at Best Buy (was $70). Nintendo’s official Pro controller is rarely on sale, and offers an official way to get a more traditional gamepad layout on the Nintendo Switch, complete with motion controls.

  • Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons (Pair): $60 at Target (was $80). Everyone always needs additional Joy-Cons. Your Switch comes with two by default, but having more makes it easier to swap in new Joy-Con so you can keep playing if the battery dies. Alternatively, you can offer your extras to buddies for multiplayer play.

  • Hori Split Pad Pro for Nintendo Switch: $42.49 at Best Buy (was $50). The Hori Split Pad Pro sometimes feels like a downright necessary upgrade for playing the Switch in portable mode, making it far more comfortable to hold over extended periods.

  • CRKD Nitro Deck+ for Nintendo Switch: $50 at Amazon (was $70). This alternate Joy-Con replacement acts as a full external shell for the Nintendo Switch, essentially giving it a much more Steam Deck style look and feel.

  • 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller: $48 at Amazon (was $70). This is a reliable third-party alternative to the official Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, with both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz connectivity, plus motion controls, back paddles, macro compatibility, and durable Hall Effect sticks.

  • Xbox Core Wireless Gaming Controller: $40 at Amazon (was $60). Almost no video game accessory is as versatile as the basic Xbox controller, which can work across a slew of devices and has a standard layout that most games recognize immediately.

  • Backbone One Mobile Gaming Controller: $70 at Amazon (was $100). These days, mobiles phones are practically gaming consoles in their own right, but controlling one with a touchscreen can be a pain. The Backbone One is a longstanding favorite phone controller among mobile gaming enthusiasts.

Asus’ original gaming handheld is arguably stronger than the Steam Deck, depending on whether you choose the Z1 chip or upgrade to the Z1 Extreme, but comes with a familiar layout. The controllers can also be configured to mimic a mouse-style setup using “FPS mode”. It features a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a 144Hz refresh rate, 16GB of RAM, and up to a 1TB SSD.

  • MSI Claw: $366.49 at Walmart (was $437.49). This is an Intel-based version of a handheld gaming PC, with an Intel Core Ultra 5 CPU, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and 1080p @ 120Hz display.

  • MSI Claw with Intel Core Ultra 7: $441.15 at Amazon (was $749). This upgrade to the MSI Claw features the same 1080p @ 120Hz display, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage, but comes with a slightly more powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 chip.

The best Black Friday sales on video games

Finally, here are some sales on the best games of the season.

  • Persona 5 Royal for Nintendo Switch: $15 at Best Buy (was $60). In the beloved Persona series, the player takes the helm as a “phantom thief” who literally steals hearts.

  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for Nintendo Switch: $50 at Best Buy (was $70). The sequel to the modern classic The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild once again sees players embarking on a more open world journey across Hyrule, this time wielding a magic arm that can build all sorts of wacky contraptions.

  • Dragon’s Dogma 2 for Xbox/PlayStation: $40 at Amazon (was $70). One of my personal favorite games of this year, this sequel to the cult classic from the Xbox 360-era sees players navigating a brutal fantasy world that doesn’t pull any punches.

  • Elden Ring for Xbox/PlayStation: $19.75 at Amazon (was $60). Another dark fantasy epic, this spiritual successor to the Dark Souls series features a narrative penned by George R.R. Martin.

  • Metaphor ReFantazio for Xbox/PlayStation: $50 at Amazon (was $70). This brand-new series from the Persona team keeps many of the same element fans of those games have become accustomed to, while also introducing light real-time combat and a fantasy world dealing with political turmoil.

  • Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for PlayStation: $40 at Best Buy (was $70). This sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake follows Cloud and friends as they venture beyond Midgard into the wider world, introducing a new slew of open-world mechanics to go alongside their much expanded journey.

  • Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition for Xbox/PlayStation: $50 at Amazon (was $80)— This critically acclaimed sequel to the cult classic Alan Wake continues the beleaguered horror writer’s bizarre adventure, while also expanding on elements introduced in 2019’s Control.

The PlayStation VR2 Is Over 40% Off Right Now for Black Friday

The PlayStation VR2 is one of a million products on sale for Black Friday this year.

I loved the original PlayStation VR. I picked one up during the peak of the pandemic (my first foray into VR gaming), and I was blown away. Instead of spending my nights inside my apartment’s small living room, I was walking through villages in Skyrim, exploring planets in No Man’s Sky, and platforming through creative terrains in Astro Bot Rescue Mission.

I was such a fan of the original that I argued it was a better VR headset buy in 2021 than an Oculus Quest—a stance many VR fans vehemently disagreed with. Three years later, however, the OG PS VR’s drawbacks are more pronounced than ever: The OLED display is lower resolution than modern headsets (960×1080), and the headset requires a complicated array of devices and cables (including a camera) to set up. (To that point, I haven’t set up the headset since my last move.) But more than that, the controllers are simply not VR controllers: While VR headsets have had finger-tracking controllers with joysticks for years, PS VR simply used the same Move controllers that have been available since the PS3.

The PS VR2, however, released in February of 2023, addresses these issues: The OLED HDR display is much higher resolution (2000×2040), quadrupling the megapixels per eye compared to the original; there’s some passthrough here, so you can actually see your immediate surroundings without having to take the headset off; the tracking is better, despite requiring no outside camera or peripherals; and the controllers are honest-to-goodness VR controllers, complete with finger tracking and joy sticks. And if you get tired of Sony’s VR games, you can connect the PS VR2 to your PC as if it were any other VR headset.

Sony’s second-gen PlayStation VR still wasn’t perfect: Besides having a smaller library than some other VR headsets, the PS VR2 was and is expensive, retailing for $549.99. When you consider that you also need a PS5 in order to run this thing (it’s not compatible with any PS4 console), it’s a pricey setup. That’s why I haven’t bought one yet, even if its plug-and-play approach would make getting back into VR easy.

But you’ve read the headline: It’s Black Friday season, and the PS VR2 is on sale. Sony announced a series of PlayStation Black Friday deals on Wednesday, running from Nov. 22 through Dec. 2. As part of that announcement, Sony revealed PS VR2 will be discounted as much as 40%. The math is a bit off, since you can actually snag a PS VR2 at 42% off: Right now, you can get the Horizon Call of The Mountain PS VR2 bundle for $349, down from $599.99. The standalone PS VR2 (no game included) is also $349, down from $549.99. All things considered, you’re better off getting the Horizon bundle, since the prices are identical. That said, people are likely going to think similarly, so this bundle could sell quicker than the headset-only offer. I’ve seen the bundle unavailable once, but it’s back right now, so act fast if you want one.

‘Sill’ Is the Best Way to Read Bluesky and Mastadon Links

I scroll through my Bluesky and Mastodon feeds every day and I sometimes grow tired of reading other people’s musings and opinions on everything. Some days, I just want to catch up on just the useful links in my timeline and Sill is a new tool that lets me do just that—you can think of Sill as an RSS feed just for the links in your Mastodon and Bluesky timelines. This is a lot like what Nuzzel used to be for links on Twitter (now X), before the service was acquired by the social network and integrated into the Twitter app.

Why you should try Sill

Sill offers you an easy way to catch up with news, blog posts, and interesting links shared to your timeline. This means that you can steer clear of angry posts, all the chatter around big news events, memes, and other distractions. As long as you follow useful accounts that share great links, Sill’s a useful tool to catch up with what’s going on. Remember that the quality of your Sill feed depends on accounts you follow and the links they share, but the service has good filters to help you tailor your feed.

Setting up your Sill account

This service requires you to create an account and link it your Mastodon and Bluesky accounts. Once you do that, you’ll be able to quickly see all the links on your Sill feed. The initial set up process was quite smooth for me, but Sill does ask you to turn off the “Group boost in timelines” preference in Mastodon for best results. This is required if you want to know how many people shared a particular link, which allows you to zero in on trending links on any given day.

Using filters to improve your experience

Sill allows you to use filters to tailor your feed to your tastes. You can ask the service to hide links from reposts, which means that it’ll only show the links posted directly. You can also set up your feed to show posts from the last 24 hours, 12 hours, six hours, or three hours. If you follow a lot of accounts and are only interested in the most recent links, then three hours is ideal, but for most people, the sweet spot is going to be either 12 or 24 hours.

You can sort posts by popularity or recency, depending on how you want to see your feed. I prefer to see the most recent posts first, but you can try both options to see which one is ideal for you. Lastly, you can choose to filter out posts from Mastodon or Bluesky, or choose to see links from both sites. I also like Sill’s mute filters. You’ll find a mute button below each link, which lets you hide that particular link from your feed, or hide all links from that website. You may even visit the moderation page to mute individual keywords, which is another nice touch to keep your feed clean.

Samsung’s ‘The Frame’ TV Has Its Lowest Price Ever for Black Friday

We may earn a commission from links on this page. Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.

The Fram TV is one of a million products on sale for Black Friday this year.

Black Friday is here, with sales from Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Home Depot all offering record-low prices on many tech products. For those shopping around for a new TV, Samsung’s new 55-inch The Frame from 2024 has a great deal: It’s on sale for $897.99 (originally $1,497.99) after a 40% discount, the lowest price it has been according to price tracking tools.

This Samsung Vacuum Is Better Than a Dyson, and It’s $300 Off for Black Friday

We may earn a commission from links on this page. Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.

There isn’t a week that goes by without a big box arriving on my doorstep with another stick or robot vacuum to test, but after a year, I’m still using the Samsung Bespoke stick vacuum. During Black Friday, it’s 28% off, bringing its price down to $499.99 (originally $799.99).

My home is a fantastic testing ground for these machines, with every kind of surface possible, tons of obstacles, and a dog who somehow carries pounds of dirt and dust into the house every day. The Samsung Bespoke Jet Vacuum, a stick vacuum I didn’t expect to think much of, is the vacuum I use every day.

The vacuum comes with a stand that turns it into a modern sculpture, so there’s no hiding it away. But that’s OK, because that base is also a self-emptying dock. It turns out that once you have a self-emptying dock for your vacuum, you will realize how insulting it is that we’ve been touching all that debris and dust when we manually empty our vacuums.

The stick extends long enough to be comfortable at almost any height, whether you’re 5 or 6 feet tall. It comes with a crevice tool and a soft tool, which is my favorite. It’s perfect for your laptop keyboard, books, sculptures and anything else you don’t want to damage.

The rollers on the main brush don’t get clogged easily and I can’t remember having to take the vacuum apart, ever. It sucks up dog toy floof, dust, and everything else in the way. It gets my rugs clean (like really clean) from dirty, dusty pawprints, and it gets into the corners on tile as well as hardwoods.

As much as I like my Dyson, the Samsung is half the weight. That makes a difference on a daily basis. Also, my Dyson hates microdust—it’s the one thing that clogs the Dyson. My Samsung has no problem with it. The choice is clear for me.
