Michigan State women’s soccer’s historic run has come to a close in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. The Spartans went on the road to Palo Alto and fell to Stanford, 5-1, ending their run.
The trip to the Elite Eight was the furthest the Spartans had ever made it in the NCAA Tournament, but the road ends one game prior to the College Cup.
Stanford jumped out to a 5-0 lead on the Spartans, who couldn’t handle the Cardinal‘s pressure. Michigan State did get their lone marker in the 76th minute, though, with Bella Najera finding the back of the net from the top of the penalty area, getting assisted by Kennedy Bell.
In a program record year, the Spartans finish 15-4-6.

It’s one of the games of the night in Ohio high school football.
The Division IV state semifinal pitting Glenville against Indian Valley features the two schools that have combined to win each of the last three OHSAA D-IV state championships. The Tarblooders won in 2022 and 2023, while the Braves won in 2024.
The other D-IV semifinal pits Shelby against Indian Hill.
On this side of the bracket, Glenville and Indian Valley will both feel they can add another state title to their trophy case.
The Tarblooders won last Friday night over Perry, 35-7. The team coached by Ted Ginn Sr. that churns out Division I prospects is always a formidable foe. They’re trying to rebound from being eliminated by Sandusky Perkins last year before Indian Valley beat Perkins in the state final.
Indian Valley has won its last 28 football games, going 16-0 a season ago and now 12-0 this season. The Braves are led by superstar running back Grady Kinsey, who recently became the OHSAA’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns. The Air Force-commit is a true candidate for Ohio’s Mr. Football award.
The Shelby-Indian Hill semifinal features two unbeaten teams, as well.
Glenville is 10-3, having lost to larger-division powerhouses St. Edward, Avon and Hoban.
It’s hard to get better on paper than this.

GLENVILLE 12, INDIAN VALLEY 0: HALFTIME
Refresh for latest.
SECOND QUARTER
– Glenville had a big catch-and-run on the final play of the half, but Indian Valley hustled to make a tackle inside the 15-yard line and send the game to halftime. Glenville leads, 12-0. The Tarblooders are set to receive the second half kickoff.
– FUMBLE RECOVERY GLENVILLE. Kinsey had a 14-yard run to start the last-minute drive, but on the next play, he fumbled and Glenville fell on the football.
– TOUCHDOWN GLENVILLE. Arvell Nelson threw a sweet corner route from about 15 yards out to Pauly Sadler, whose release up the field and break outside left him rather open. The two-point pass was incomplete. (Glenville 12-0, 43 seconds until half)
– Glenville forced a three-and-out to get the ball right back after the fumble.
– FUMBLE RECOVERY INDIAN VALLEY. Glenville ran inside the 10-yard line, but Titan Peterman fell on the fumble to keep the deficit at 6-0. The Tarblooders couldn’t take advantage of their INT. About three minutes until half.
– A key catch by Pauly Sadler converted a third-and-long to get Glenville to about the 10-yard line.
– Jordin Johnson jumped an out route for a Glenville interception. The Tarblooders returned the INT to near the 50-yard line, although they were backed up for an illegal block in the back. Glenville football.
– Bradley Barr made a tackle for loss on third down to force a Glenville punt with 9:03 left in the second quarter, Glenville still up 6-0.
– OSU commit Cincere Johnson got a third-down sack on the second play of the second quarter to force a punt. Ryker Williams evaded a couple defenders before getting brought down by the future Buckeye.
FIRST QUARTER
– The first quarter ended after a short first-down run by Kinsey. IV will have second-and-long just over midfield to start the second.
– IV faced a third-and-medium in their own end, but Ryker Williams found Carson Hostetler over the top for a big first down over midfield.
– A huge third-down tackle for loss by Ryker Williams ended the ensuing Glenville drive to force a Tarblooders punt back.
– Glenville got a stop and a solid punt return to try and build on its lead, although the return came back for a flag.
– Indian Valley extended its ensuing drive on a sweet pass and catch down the left sideline from Ryker Williams to Grady Kinsey.
– TOUCHDOWN GLENVILLE. Da’Von McDougle ran for a 45-yard touchdown up the right sideline to give the Tarblooders the lead. (Glenville 6-0, 7:22 left 1Q)
– Glenville got an opening stop, forcing IV into a third-and-long and an incomplete pass.
– Indian Valley is getting the football first. The game is underway in Minerva.
PREGAME
– These two recent state champions make the trip Friday to Minerva High School’s Hines Stadium. It promises to be an instant classic.
– The matchup to watch: Glenville LB Cincere Johnson, an Ohio State commit, against Kinsey and the IV running game.
– Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
– There is snow on the field in Minerva:

The Nebraska men’s basketball team continues its homestand Saturday afternoon, as the Huskers host USC Upstate. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. (central) and 300 Level tickets are available for the matchup by visiting Huskers.com/Tickets or at the PBA Ticket Office beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The game will be available online at B1G+, while the radio broadcast is available on the Husker Sports Network, as well as on Huskers.com and on the Huskers app.
The Huskers (7-0) are coming off of a hard-fought 80-73 win over Winthrop on Tuesday evening. Rienk Mast‘s 31-point night, which included 7-of-10 from 3-point range, led four Huskers in double figures. Mast had 13 of his points in a decisive 15-5 second-half surge, as the Huskers shot 53 percent in the second half to extend their win streak to 11 games dating back to last season. Nebraska saw a 13-point lead cut to three with 1:45 left before baskets by Pryce Sandfort and Cale Jacobsen gave the Huskers some breathing room.
Mast is averaging 23.5 points per game over the last four contests while shooting 56 percent from the field, including 52 percent from 3-point range. The seventh-year senior enters Saturday’s tilt averaging team highs in scoring (18.6 ppg) and rebounding (6.3 rpg) while dishing out 3.5 assists per game.
The Huskers’ 7-0 start marks just the seventh time in school history that Nebraska has begun a season with seven straight wins. With a win on Saturday afternoon, the Huskers would be 8-0 for the first time since a school-record 10-0 start in 1977-78 and extend the nation’s longest win streak to 12 games.
USC Upstate (4-4) comes to Lincoln following an 87-62 win over North Carolina Central on Tuesday evening. Mason Bendinger led the Spartans with 19 points, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range to pace three players in double figures. USC shot a blistering 74 percent in the second half en route to the win.

BJ’s Wholesale Club isn’t just about oversized ketchup bottles and 40-roll toilet paper packs—though you’ll definitely find those too. If you’ve been considering joining a wholesale club, a one-year Club Card Membership with BJ’s Easy Renewal on sale for Black Friday for just $15 at StackSocial instead of the usual $60. It’s only available to new members, and you’ll receive a redemption code to activate the membership directly through BJ’s official website. It’s great if you have a big family, dream of a well-stocked pantry, or simply love saving on groceries, gas, and daily essentials.
The value shows up pretty quickly. BJ’s claims up to 25% savings compared to regular grocery stores—and it covers a wide range: produce, meat, deli, and cleaning supplies, as well as tech, toys, clothes, and even furniture. Their fuel perks might be the real unsung hero, though. Fill up at BJ’s Gas, and you can stack extra discounts through the Fuel Saver Program, which rewards you for buying specific items in-store. And, if you hate wandering through aisles, the app offers curbside pickup or same-day delivery in select areas, and you can clip digital coupons that automatically apply at checkout. It’s not flashy, but it’s efficient.
The only catch: You’re auto-enrolled into BJ’s Easy Renewal, which means you’ll be charged full price (whatever that is next year) when your discounted membership ends. You can cancel before that happens, but you’ll need to keep track of the renewal date or set a reminder to not forget. Also, this offer is only available to new sign-ups; it’s not applicable to existing or recently former members.
If you’ve never had a BJ’s membership and want to test the waters without paying full price, this deal gives you a pretty low-commitment way in. And for just $15, the savings might cover that in just one or two grocery runs.

Practicing a new language can be fun, but premium language apps can be expensive. Babbel makes it easier with practical, bite-sized lessons designed for real-life use, focusing on conversations you’d actually have—ordering food, chatting with the locals, asking for directions (read PCMag’s in-depth review of Babbel to learn more)—and right now, its lifetime subscription is on sale for a huge discount: For Black Friday, a lifetime subscription to Babbel is on sale for $129 with promo code LEARN. The sale runs through Cyber Monday. It’s a one-time payment—no recurring fees, no monthly charges—for lifetime access to all 14 languages (including French, German, Italian, and Spanish), making it cheaper than Babbel’s regular one-year plan at $300.
Babbel’s lessons take just 10 to 15 minutes, so you can squeeze your practice into a commute or coffee break. And, unlike other language-learning apps that rely on repetitive vocabulary drills or random gamified exercises, Babbel follows a structured, linguist-designed curriculum that progressively increases in difficulty, so you don’t plateau after the basics (earning itself a place in PCMag’s “The Best Language Learning Apps for 2025” roundup). Plus, it’s not just passive learning—you get writing, speaking, and listening exercises with speech recognition technology to fine-tune your pronunciation, creating a far more immersive experience.

If you’re tired of websites bombarding you with banners, pop-ups, trackers, and ads, this AdGuard family plan is worth a look: It’s a lifetime subscription currently on sale for just $15.97 for Black Friday by applying the promo code FAMPLAN. The sale runs through Cyber Monday. It’s a lifetime of ad-blocking for less than what some services charge per month, but it’s only available to new users, and you’ll need to redeem your code within 30 days of buying it.
You can access and utilize this plan across nine devices, making it a solid pick for families or anyone juggling multiple gadgets. It works on Windows (7 and later), macOS (10.15 and later), iOS (12 and later), and Android (7 and later), covering most modern setups.
AdGuard goes beyond standard ad-blocking by filtering out annoying pop-ups, stopping autoplay videos, and blocking phishing attempts. It also reduces trackers that follow you around the internet, which means less targeted advertising and a little more privacy. Unlike browser-based ad blockers, AdGuard operates at the network level, allowing it to block ads in apps and games as well. Setup is straightforward—you’ll receive your redemption code via email immediately after purchase, allowing you to start using it right away.
If you’re already an AdGuard user, this deal won’t apply to you, but for new users looking for a one-time payment solution to dodge ads and boost privacy across multiple devices, this might be one of the best Black Friday deals out there right now.

If you’re a developer, hobbyist, or just someone trying to keep up with modern programming tools without emptying your wallet, this deal should catch your eye: Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2022 is currently on sale for just $9.97 on StackSocial for Black Friday—down from its usual $499. The sale runs though Cyber Monday, and it’s a one-time payment for lifetime access. Once you buy, the redemption code gets emailed to you instantly, and you have 30 days to activate it. There are no recurring fees, just a fully loaded development environment with features that make coding faster, cleaner, and less of a headache.
This version of Visual Studio marks a shift—it’s their first 64-bit IDE that handles larger projects without choking. If you’ve ever waited for your code editor to stop freezing while dealing with massive workloads, that’s less of a concern here. It supports cross-platform app development through .NET MAUI, so you’re covered whether you’re building for Android, iOS, or desktop. Plus, features like Live Share make collaboration more streamlined. You can co-code in real time, control what collaborators see, and even carry over your custom settings. There’s also IntelliCode, which is basically AI that learns your coding habits and fills in the blanks intelligently. It can finish lines of code or suggest the next logical move based on your style and context. It’s a little eerie, but it works. You can also build, test, and deploy to Azure right from the IDE, which is great if you’re cloud-focused.
There are some things to keep in mind. This is for Windows users only. If you’re working on a Chromebook, iPad, or even a 32-bit system—this won’t work. It’s compatible with Windows 10 and 11, and you’ll need at least 4GB of RAM (though more is better). Depending on the number of features you install, it also requires storage space ranging from 850MB to 210 GB. For just $10 for Microsoft Visual Studio, this is a great steal and worth trying out.

If you’ve ever tried dragging a too-large speaker—or worse, relied on your phone’s tiny audio for sound projection—you should appreciate this sale on the Skullcandy Terrain Mini: It’s palm-sized, no-frills, and currently on sale for $32.99 on StackSocial for Black Friday, with free shipping in the U.S. For under $35, you’re looking at an IPX7-rated waterproof speaker that won’t be damaged if it’s dropped or gets wet. The sale runs through Cyber Monday.
The Skullcandy Terrain Mini features Bluetooth 5.3, ensuring a stable connection within a 33-foot range. The battery is said to offer 14 hours of playtime, which should cover most day-long adventures or at least a solid workday playlist without needing a recharge. When the battery dies, it can be charged using a USB-C port, which is included, so you won’t need to dig through old cords. It also comes with a wrist strap that you can clip to a bag or swing around like a lanyard when you’re on the move.
As far as sound quality goes, it’s decent on its own, but the True Wireless Stereo feature allows you to pair it with a second unit for true stereo separation. You can also use Skullcandy’s Multi-Link to chain together up to 99 of these. Realistically, you’ll probably never do that, but the option’s there if you ever want to DJ a flash mob.
That said, this speaker doesn’t punch far above its size. It’s built more for casual, portable listening than booming bass or high-volume precision. The fabric mesh helps with durability and sound clarity, but it won’t replace your home speaker setup. If you’re in the market for a rugged little speaker that’s waterproof, rechargeable, and easy to toss in a bag, the Skullcandy Terrain Mini fits.
