(Opinion) Rick Santorm promotes fundamental extremist views that are dangerous to individual Freedom, a insult to Liberty and Unconstitutional.

During a town hall meeting in Iowa, Rick Santorum said Americans should suffer more, “Suffering, if you’re a Christian, suffering is a part of life. And it’s not a bad thing, it is an essential thing in life … There are all different ways to suffer. One way to suffer is through lack of food and shelter and there’s another way to suffer which is lack of dignity and hope and there’s all sorts of ways that people suffer and it’s not just tangible, it’s also intangible and we have to consider both.” Check it.

Christianity is based on compassion, which is “suffering with”, to have empathy and help others to alleviate suffering. To seek and endorse suffering is just insane. These are not conservative views, these are extremist views of a fanatic and they should not be labeled as Social Conservative.

The Constitution forbids State Religion.

The First Amendment of the United States Consitution Reads:

“Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The No Religious Test Clause of the United States Constitution found in Article VI, states that:

“The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.”

A Secular Nation.

Thomas Paine was a deist. As was Benjamin Franklin. Thomas Jefferson made his own version of the Bible, cutting and pasting from English, French, Latin and Greek, his favored translations, and removing the supernatural events of the New Testament.

In 1802 Thomas Jefferson wrote, “Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should “make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”, thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.”

Thomas Paine said on religion, “I believe in the equality of man; and I believe that religious duties consist in doing justice, loving mercy, and endeavoring to make our fellow-creatures happy. But, lest it should be supposed that I believe in many other things in addition to these, I shall, in the progress of this work, declare the things I do not believe, and my reasons for not believing them. The Constitution forbids State Religion recognizing the danger of fanatic zealots yearning to impose their perverted views by rule of law.

Acceptance is Love

(Opinion)

Christianity is a religion founded on love and peace. The selfless acts of Christianity and the message of Love are not being heard over the voices of the Zealots and the Fanatics who are taking center stage leading inquisitions of faith.

The elevation of the cross, metaphorically took the “pagan” symbol of the cross as a mandala, with its four quadrants representing the four seasons, with the center focal point if a human figure was transposed upon it being the reproductive organs, symbolizing that the message can be transferred only by birthright.

To the elevation of Christ on the Cross, which puts the focus higher on the figure of a human being now at the height of the throat and of the ears. This elevation of the focal point to now one of a message that can be transferred via communication, in speaking and hearing and in seeing.

The message of Love and Peace can be spoken and heard and accepted by all who open their hearts. And indeed in a message of Love and Tolerance, there is a place in the world for people who choose to believe differently. Acceptance is Love.

A History of a Pagan Holiday

THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO, Before the days of Rome, there was on the Ides of February the Feasts of the Goat.

The Feast of Lupercalia was an ancient pastoral festival, observed on 13-15 of February to avert evil spirits, in the form of hungry beasts and demons, threatening the pastoral flocks, as real as the circling hungry wolves and in the howling winds. In the month of purification the Ides were associated with cleansing rituals ridding the demons, releasing health and fertility.

The historian Justin mentions an image of “the Lycaean god, whom the Greeks call Pan and the Romans Lupercus,” being naked except for a girdle of goatskin, which stood in the Lupercal, the cave at the foot of the Palatine Hill where the twin founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus were suckled by a she-wolf.

For this Festival, a goat and a dog were sacrificed and salt meal cakes prepared by the Vestal Virgins were burnt in offering.

Lupercalia itself stems from an older tradition called Februa, a spring cleansing ritual. Februa, also Februatio, was the earlier festival of ritual purification, which is one of Spring washing and cleansing associated with the raininess of this time of year for these ancients, with torrents of flooding rivers and driving rains, the waters are known to have powers.

According to Ovid, Februare is a Latin word which refers to purification, particularly by cleansing with water, with the older roots of the word suggesting to purge impurities physical and of spirit. As to above, as to below, as mother Earth cleanses with rains and overflowing streams and springs, man too cleanses with the powers of water.

The Roman month Februarius, “of Februa,” gives name to the English February.

The Catholic Church Outrage

Recently the Roman Catholic Church in the Netherlands issued a “sincere apology” for decades of covering up the rampant sexual predators within the ranks of its clergy. Affecting as many as 20,000 Dutch children who now can be comforted to forgive and forget their emotional torment and scars because the Catholic Church was forced to deal with the problem and actually admit it is a safe haven for a pit of sex predators in collars who join the ranks for easy prey and guaranteed protection from the Wealthy Hive in Rome.

Worldwide it has been a pandemic.

According to BishopAccountability.org:

“It is a matter of public record that U.S. bishops have knowingly transferred thousands of abusive priests into unsuspecting parishes and dioceses, placing fear of “scandal” ahead of the welfare of children. The bishops themselves have apologized for what they call their “mistake,” but they say nothing about the crucial actions that constitute accountability.”

In 2004, the John Jay report tabulated a total of 4,392 priests and deacons in the U.S. against whom allegations of sexual abuse had been made.

No Outrage over the raping of small innocent children. After all there are baskets to pass around.

And Now, in reaction with the U.S. Government Requirement that insurance coverage provide protection for protection in the form of birth control, members of The Catholic Church are Outraged.

As NPR Reports, Catholics are Split over the Contraceptive Order. “98 percent of Catholic women use birth control at some point in their lifetimes. A new survey by Public Policy Polling shows that a narrow majority of Catholic voters think women employed by Catholic hospitals and universities should have access to contraceptive coverage through their health plans.”

But many of the Leaders in the Catholic Church and in the GOP are Outraged.

Outraged. Outraged!

Merriam-Webster defines Outrage as the following:

2. a : injury, insult
2. b : an act that violates accepted standards of behavior or taste
3. the anger and resentment aroused by injury or insult

These Catholic Church leaders are at war with Reality.
People having sex responsibly and safely is an Outrage while covering up Decades of Molesting young children by those trusted most and then covered up by the institution using its global resources, money and Power deserves some ‘apologies’.

The moral argument of the Church opposing Birth Control is out of touch with reality as outdated as stoning people for working the Sabbath or the blessings of polygymy (1). These Catholic Church leaders exist in a hypocrite alter reality blinded by the fire of their own ego.

The message of Christianity as a Loving Religion that is built upon the foundation of compassion or “suffering with”, needs to come in tune with the sufferings of the modern age.

Massive Seagrass Colonies Are Oldest Living Organisms

(Opinion) Seagrass meadows of Posidonia Oceanica Indica, are composed of masses of ancient giant organisms speading out lazily on the sea bed to over 15 kilometers wide.

Scientists have discovered that many of these organisms are tens of thousands of years old.

According to researcher Constantin Tetzlaff at the Oceanic Institute International, “Some plants may well be more than 100,000 years old. Posidonia Oceanica Indica ranks amongst the oldest organisms revealed thus far.”

“The understanding of the wide scale of variables that rendered this species to be so adaptable to a broad range of environmental conditions is the focus of incredibly interesting research” Tetzlaff said.

Posidonia Oceanica Indica, or more commonly known as Neptune Space Grass or even as Mediterranean Sour is a Seagrass subspecies that forms large underwater meadows that are an important part of the Earths ecosystem.

Posidonia Oceanica Indica has imperfect flowers, with staminate “male” and pistillate “female” flowers occurring on separate plants.

It is not unusual, however, for individual plants to bear both male and female flowers. Although monoecious plants are often referred to as “hermaphrodites,” true hermaphrodites, which are less common, bear staminate and pistillate structures on individual flowers, whereas monoecious plants bear male and female flowers at different locations on the same plant.

Posidonia Oceanica Indica like many organisms, is diploid, having a chromosome complement of 2n=20.

Molecular analytical techniques developed in the 21st century are being applied to questions of taxonomic classification of Posidonia Oceanica Indica. This has resulted in many reclassifications based on evolutionary systematics. Several studies of Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) and other types of genetic marker-makers have been conducted on varying source samples of Posidonia Oceanica Indica, primarily for research purposes.

Dutch researcher Hashabiah Zorzi and coworkers at the Prestigious DeVoe Institue of Study, described some of their RAPD studies as showing an “extremely High” degree of genetic polymorphism between and within varied populations, suggesting a high degree of potential variation for selection, even in heavily selected cultivars.
